Five Minute Friday (Saturday): Graceful

I know, I’m a day behind. But here is my Five Minute Friday. As always I am linking up with Lisa Jo Baker.

Graceful

I’m not graceful. Never have been.

I always admired those beautiful ballerinas. You know, the ones who can dance circles around anyone and contort their bodies into the most unbelievable positions and still look gorgeous doing it.

I’ll never know how they accomplish it.

No, graceful is NOT my middle name.

And when I am pregnant, I am even less graceful.

I become clumsy beyond belief. I trip over my own, big, swollen feet. And I long to be able to put my shoes on without a struggle.

I’m not there yet. Not at the point of having to have help to fasten my buckles on my shoes, but I can already feel myself losing whatever gracefulness I have pre-pregnancy.

But there is another kind of graceful.

A graceful heart.

Graceful persona.

Graceful spirit.

How I long to be that kind of graceful! To be seen as a woman with a kind heart, gentle spirit, and graceful presence.

To be a woman with the heart of God.

*************************************************************

On to other news, we had our gender scan yesterday. Little one was very cooperative and happy to spread legs and show us the “goodies” so to speak.

We are very clearly having a BOY!

Yup, another boy. Another rough and tumble, rowdy, little boy.

I am thrilled! I would have been happy with a girl as well, but I am just ecstatic that baby boy is healthy, has all the right parts in all the right places, is measuring perfectly for his age, and seems to be in excellent shape.

Now we are just praying for a good rest of the pregnancy, both for him and for me.

I am considered high risk again, and with that comes a number of extra appointments, ultrasounds, tests, and risks. Praying that none of them are an issue for us, and that we get through the next couple of months without complications.

On other news, several people close to me have delivered (or are delivering any day now!) their little ones. Among those is my little niece Sophie. I am such a proud Auntie! Glad to be able to add yet another precious little one to our family. Welcome to the world little Sophie! I can’t wait to shower you with kisses and snuggles!

Blessings,

I’ve read a few that started off with “I’m not graceful”, or similar line of thought. I wonder that so many of us feel that way.

But congratulations on another boy 🙂 Hoping and praying that the pregnancy continues normally and that baby and momma are happy and healthy by the end of it.

I love what you said in your last two sentences for your 5 min. of writing. And you know what? I think you already are that kind of graceful. At least, that’s how I see you. I’m so excited for your little boy! I just love babies. 🙂 I really hope and pray your last half goes well. Keep me posted!
    Love ya!

I love to hear what you are thinking!
